A forgotten portrait of Prince Michael Obrenović - Katarina Mitrović

The monograph A forgotten portrait of Prince Michael Obrenović - "Soul Painting", Dimitrije Avramović and portrait of the Ruler in the Principality of Serbia is dedicated to the forgotten portrait of Prince Michael by Dimitrije Avramović, one of the most prominent Serbian painters of the first half of the 19th century. The portrait was completed during the first reign of Michael and, unlike the canonized image of the prince, based on his image from the period of the second reign, such representations of the prince from his youth are less known and present in Serbian visual culture.
